This is one of those times when I want to punch myself for not updating more regularly... keeping these things up-to-date is tough work, haha

Shall split this into 2-3 entries for the sake of everyone's sanity!

As for my life, I'm currently in winter break before my ~*very last semester of biomedicine*~!!! I'm so excited to finish (and I also did a winter painting breadth subject as part of my degree so I finally got to try real painting haha, bless Melbourne Uni), but I also just had a massive freak-out about portfolios. At this stage Sheridan is looking more feasible than CalArts (not even including the getting-accepted part) 'cause of the Australian dollar looking grim and all but I'm still really intimidated and just trying to push through this doubt.

Anyway enough rambling, onto the flood...

Nothing much interesting happening in my life after that massive list of last entry, though the thought I'll be off to Canada in two months to live for the rest of the year is pretty intimidating.. and exciting, haha.
Also again, if you're a Community fan & you're in the LA area: be sure to check out the Six Seasons and a Movie art show! I really wish I could be there for the opening weekend (the art will be exhibited at another location all summer, which is when I'll be visiting in late-August, but most of the exciting stuff is this weekend) but unfortunately a rather large ocean prevents that from happening


..oh wait, I also got an Intuos5 haha my Intuos2 is still working but I thought I'd reward myself for getting halfway through uni. I feel like I've betrayed my trusty tablet of 7 years but I'm still planning to bring it overseas with me! I'm still adjusting to the ExpressKey workflow but it's pretty amazing.

Happy October/Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony Day! I'm still not getting much study done, hmm. Starting to worry a little...

Trying out watercolours on this sorta thing for the first time. It was frustrating at times, but still fun! The black dog is meant to be a Finnish Lapphund but I screwed up a bit there h-haha (there was also meant to be a hidden shape among the "foliage" but it's kinda hard to identify now..)

...I have to say that peeling off masking fluid is really, really fun


I love Wedge-Tailed Eagles! Even if they don't even look like birds sometimes.

I've kinda hit an art slump and I'm feeling pretty inadequate about my lack of creativity, and time is running out... aah (not to mention I just found out I have pretty severe anaemia and vitamin D deficiency h-haha how am I even functioning with those sorts of iron levels)


I don't think I like Aleksi's colours much, I'll need to keep experimenting








I need to do another one of these because I don't think this one is good enough for RMIT... I'm so nervous about getting in to the course, 30/500 is a crazy acceptance rate! It's either that course or science, pretty much.
